Athletic Director
Josh Troyer
I am excited to serve as the Athletic Director at Winamac Community High School and to be part of a community that values its student-athletes. My passion has always been helping young people grow—not just as athletes, but as leaders, teammates, and individuals who are prepared for success long after high school.
My coaching journey has included serving as the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Manchester High School for two seasons, Varsity Girls Golf Coach at Manchester for seven years, Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach at Northfield High School for two years, and both the Boys and Girls Golf Coach at Plymouth High School. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as Athletic Director at Plymouth High School from 2023-2026.
Before moving into athletic administration, I taught kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. Those experiences reinforced my belief that every student deserves encouragement, accountability, and opportunities to grow. Whether in the classroom or on the field, my goal has always been to help students become the best version of themselves.
As a former collegiate golfer at Grace College, I understand the impact that coaches, teammates, and school communities can have on a young person's life. That perspective continues to shape my leadership philosophy today.
My greatest support comes from my family. My wife, Kendall, and our daughter, Grace, and son, Cameron, are excited to be part of the Warrior community and look forward to cheering on our student-athletes throughout the year.
I believe athletics are about far more than wins and losses. My mission is to develop the whole athlete by building character, fostering meaningful relationships, creating memorable experiences, and preparing students for life beyond high school. I want every Warrior to leave our programs with lifelong lessons, lasting memories, and pride in representing Winamac.
