The Regional meet marked the final chapter of Winamac’s cross country season, and our athletes wrote it with grit. Against a deep field, the Warriors showed exactly who they’ve been all fall—resilient, team-first, and unafraid of hard work. Season Character, On Display From August heat to October wind, this group embraced the grind: early-morning shakeouts, hill circuits, tempo sets, strength days, and long-run discipline. They showed up, they punched the clock, and they took care of each other. That consistency—more than any result—defined their year. Winamac was proudly represented by Logan Fredel, Nathan Pierzchalski, Paxton Moon, Avery Wegner, Kandace Kroft, and Maddy Goodman. Their preparation and composure set the tone for the day and modeled what it means to compete with class. Seniors, Thank You To our seniors: your example of showing up, lifting teammates, and choosing the harder right will echo in this program. You’ve left the team better than you found it, and that is the lasting win. Parents, families, managers, teachers, and our community, thank you. Your support made the miles lighter and the memories bigger. What’s Next The work doesn’t end; it evolves. We’ll take a breath, then carry this base into winter strength and spring track. The habits forged this fall are the springboard for what’s coming. No trophies were needed today to prove it: this team succeeded in the ways that matter most… effort, character, and care for each other.
