Winamac Athletics- Home of the Warriors

Winamac celebrated their seniors Thursday night in the last home game of the season. Logansport traveled to play the Warriors in a match that ended 0-3 for our Warriors. While Winamac had the edge to start each set, the defense struggled to keep the ball in play on several long rallies that would eventually turn the tide in favor of the Berries. Set scores were 18-25, 16-25 and 16-25. Lack of defensive effort put a hurt on the offense as well, with only a total of 13 kills for the night, 6 of which were contributed by Ava Malchow. Not all defenders took it easy Thursday night. Grace Roth scrapped for 17 digs and Abby Keller added a career high 12 digs to her record. Senior, Hannah Meyer, was able to put 2 aces on the floor, as well. Winamac will travel to Bremen next Saturday to take on the Lions in the second round of Sectional 34 at 11:00 AM.
