Winamac Athletics- Home of the Warriors

Winamac had their final road match of the season Monday night at North Judson. The Warriors ended the night 0-3 with final set scores of 14-25, 23-25, and 22-25. Following North Judson's senior night celebration, the Warriors took the floor a bit sluggishly. That carried through the night with over 40 free balls sent to the Blue Jays. Unable to shake it off, Winamac struggled on both sides, offensive and defense, racking up an entire games worth of service reception errors over the 3 set loss. While Winamac struggled to put a play together most of the night, there were some Warriors who came out strong - including: Ava Malchow with 5 kills and 9 digs, Grace Roth with 6 kills and 15 digs, Brooke Rausch with 2 blocks, 11 digs and 7 kills, and Jordan Compton with 4 aces and 8 digs. Winamac's varsity team will round out their regular season tomorrow celebrating senior night against Logansport before traveling to Bremen to take on the home team on the 18th for sectionals. The junior varsity will travel to Culver on Saturday for their final JV tournament of the season.
