Winamac Varsity Soccer hosted Caston in their final regular season game in a conference matchup defeating them 8-0. The Warriors came out with a strong defense and pushed to keep the ball on Caston's side of the field getting several shot attempts and scoring 5 goals in the first half using solid runs and great ball movement. Then they came out in the second half and scored another 3 goals to close out the scoring. The win secures second place in the conference for the Warriors. Scoring for the Warriors were Sean Stark with 4 goals, Jaybin Hines with 2 goals, Rylan Craig with 1 goal, and Justin Housinger with 1 goal. Hutch Martin secured the shutout for the Warriors in the goal. Sean Stark set the single season goal record at 33 goals. Jaybin Hines also set a single season record for assists with 14. The Warriors next game will be Monday night at Argos as they open sectional play against Culver. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Come out and support them as they start their tournament run.
