Winamac Volleyball Grandparents Night

By Heather Kasten | Sep 26, 2025 2:17 PM

Winamac Volleyball recognized some of their best supporters last night - their grandparents. In the annual recognition program, over 50 grandparents and great-grandparents were walked onto the court by their volleyball granddaughters. "It's always such a heartwarming sight to see the stands filled with such great support from home. Our girls and our program is very lucky to have such wonderful families supporting them." said Coach Kasten. Unfortunately for the grandparents, the Warriors weren't quite able to pull off a home win for their special night. Winamac fell in 3 sets (11-25, 6-25, 18-25) when they struggled to put the ball in the hands of their setter. "Serve-receive has really dropped off the last week and half and it shows in our offensive stats. We aren't able to utilize the hitter's we've worked so hard to build that connection with when we can't pass the ball to begin with." explained Coach Kasten. Grace Roth was able to score 2 aces and 4 kills against the Panthers, while Brooke Rausch added 5 kills. One bright spot of the night was junior libero, Maggie Keller, back in action for the first time this season. She ended the night with 11 digs and 8 service receptions. The Warriors travel to Argos on Tuesday.
