Volleyball Travels to Oregon Davis

Winamac traveled to Oregon Davis to take on the Bobcats. The Warriors fell to the Bobcats 0-3 (22-25, 19-25, 21-25) to a scrappy Oregon-Davis squad. "Serve and serve-receive. You live by it and you die by it in volleyball. Last night was the latter for us." quoted Coach Heather Kasten after her girls had an entire set's worth of points in serve reception errors (23) and a whopping 10 service errors in the three set loss. "We haven't had a serving night that bad since our first week of the season. We have a lot to lock in on between now and next week - Tri-Township, Triton and Pioneer make next week a heavy week, so we have to be mentally prepared." The Junior Varsity hung tough for 3 sets at OD, but ended up falling 13-15 in the final set (18-25, 25-17). The JV added a new rotation to include newcomer Lillie Rusk last night. Jordon Compton and Delilah Hanson led the JV offense with 3 and 2 kills, respectively. Kylie Fisher led the defense with 8 digs and 5 assists. Winamac is on the road Monday at Tri-Township, Tuesday at Triton and are home Thursday for Grandparent's Night against Pioneer.
