Winamac Athletics

The Winamac Girls track team competed in the Sectional meet tonight at Kankakee Valley High School. Maggie Smith qualified for the regional race with a 2nd place finish in the 800m run. She finished with a time of 2:26.24 As a team the girls finished 9th overall out of the 13 teams. Kankakee Valley took first place as a team. Top finishers for the girls were: 4x800m Relay - 5th - Jewel Conner, Kelsey Wegner, Kadence Hoover, Maggie Smith 4x100m Relay - 8th - Maddy Goodman, Lauren Fredel, Alexis Intravaia, Bianca Huizar 800m: Maggie Smith 2nd 3200m: Kadence Hoover 6th High Jump: Kandace Kroft 6th Pole Vault: Lauren Fredel 6th Long Jump: Bianca Huizar 6th Complete results can be found here: https://www.directathletics.com/results/track/80600.html
