Winamac Athletics- Home of the Warriors

The Winamac Varsity Football team was in action at Culver on Friday night. The Warriors defeated the Cavs by the score of 30-22, earning their first win of the season. Offensively, Tearson Wolford had 21 carries for 171 yards, 2 touchdown runs and two 2 point conversion runs. Ethan Burgess had 6 carries for 63 yards and 1 touchdown run. Louis Rugg scored on a 55 yard touchdown pass from Xavier Adriano, and Adriano also added a two point conversion run. Defensively, Michael Shidler had 8 tackles, 2 assists, and 1 fumble recovery. Burgess and Hayden Taylor had interceptions on the night, and Ivan Cardenas added a fumble recovery. The Warriors will travel to Triton next Friday to take on the Trojans.
