Winamac Warriors Varsity Takes A Tough Blow From Caston

Winamac Warriors Varsity couldn't keep up with Caston and fell 17-3 on Tuesday. Winamac Warriors Varsity tallied three runs in the third inning. Emma Goodman and Corrin Combs all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Caston scored six runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Caston came thanks to a single by Mollenkopf, a home run by Harness, an error on a ball put in play by Harsh, and a double by Logan. Mollenkopf led the Caston to victory on the rubber. The fireballer lasted five innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out nine and walking one. McKenzie Hinz took the loss for Winamac Warriors Varsity. Hinz went five innings, allowing 17 runs on 17 hits, striking out three and walking one. Caston mashed three home runs on the day. Zimpleman had a homer in the third inning. Mollenkopf went for the long ball in the second inning. Harness had a long ball in the fifth inning. Goodman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Winamac Warriors Varsity in hits. Caston scattered 17 hits in the game.
