The Lady Warriors traveled to Northfield High School on Saturday for a competitive day of volleyball at the Northfield Invitational. The Warriors battled against Northfield (17-25, 20-25), Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (19-25, 8-25) and Huntington North (18-25, 15-25) to finish the day 0-3. The junior varsity's short win streak ended Saturday as well, going 0-2 against Northfield and Huntington North on the JV side of the Northfield Invite. Hustle and defense was the name of the game for the day with all 3 opponents bringing 6 foot middle blockers. The Warriors battled all day, going on some strong runs and utilizing offense that will benefit them in upcoming games against West Central and Caston this week. Stat leaders for Saturday included, Brooke Rausch with 5 kills, 18 digs and a block; Grace Roth with 4 aces, 3 kills, a block and 12 digs; Abby Keller with 16 assists and 12 digs; and Mylie Foster and Ava Malchow with 5 kills a piece. The Lady Warriors are home all week with West Central visiting Tuesday and Caston on Thursday.
