Lady Warriors Fall Short in Home 3-Way Match Against Triton and Lewis Cass

Varsity vs Triton (217 - 188) Loss Varsity vs Cass (217 - 205) Loss The Winamac Lady Warrior golf team delivered their strongest performance of the season Tuesday evening as they hosted Triton and Lewis Cass in a competitive tri-match on their home course. Despite posting a season-best team score of 217, the Lady Warriors fell short against two formidable opponents. Triton led the field with a stellar round, carding their own season-best score of 188. Lewis Cass followed with a solid 205, edging out Winamac’s effort. Senior standout Hunter Hines bounced back in a big way, leading the Lady Warriors with a season-low 49. She was supported by consistent rounds from teammates Cady Jones, Brianna Patton, Scarlett Browning, and Kandace Kroft, who all contributed to the team’s strong showing. Though the final standings didn’t favor Winamac, the team’s improvement and resilience were evident throughout the match. Head Coach Jeremy Shell praised the squad’s determination and noted the encouraging progress as the season continues. The Lady Warriors will look to build on this momentum Thursday as they hit the road to face the Lady Bombers at Curtis Creek Golf Course.
