Boys Varsity Logan Fredel (SR) – A sensational day up front, powering to a 4th place overall finish in 17:03.9, one of the best efforts of the entire meet. He continues to set the tone as a frontrunner for the Warriors. Nathan Pierzchalski (SR) – Ran with grit and composure, securing 16th place in 17:58.2. His sub-18 mark shows the strength of Winamac’s senior leadership. Paxton Moon (FR) – In his first big invitational as a freshman, Moon impressed with a 53rd place finish in 19:56.5, already under 20 minutes and a huge building block for the future. Joel Showley (JR) – Posted a solid 22:38.2 to place 99th, showing consistency and toughness that will benefit the team as the season builds. Elisha Burns (JR) – Clocked 23:46.8 for 106th, continuing his steady climb and helping solidify Winamac’s depth. Braylen Becker (SO) – Just behind Burns, Becker ran 23:50.6 to place 107th, marking another step forward in his development. Austin Pratt (FR) – The Warriors’ second freshman varsity runner, Pratt gained valuable experience with a 24:47.5 finish for 110th, a promising starting point to build on. Girls Varsity Avery Wegner (SR) – Led the Lady Warriors with a 21st place finish in 22:49.7, continuing her role as a dependable frontrunner with the ability to mix it up near the top of the field. Kandace Kroft (SR) – Backed up Wegner with a strong 23rd place finish in 23:05.1, giving Winamac a solid 1–2 punch up front. Madelyn Goodman (SR) – Turned in a 26:25.8 effort for 66th place, providing veteran stability in the middle of the lineup. Roni Garbison (SR) – Continued her steady season with a 31:05.5 clocking for 94th, gaining more strength and racing experience. Alyssa Shidler (SO) – Rounded out the scoring five in 35:13.1, placing 98th, showing toughness and commitment to finish strong for the team. Summary Both Warrior squads showcased depth, improvement, and exciting potential. The boys cracked the top 10 in team scoring, led by Fredel and Pierzchalski up front, while the girls placed 12th, highlighted by a strong senior trio in Wegner, Kroft, and Goodman. Freshmen like Moon and Pratt gained crucial early-season varsity experience, while returners across both teams showed growth compared to a year ago. With this blend of senior leadership and emerging underclassmen, Winamac is building momentum for a promising season ahead.
