Winamac Warriors Varsity Takes The Game Over LaVille In A Blow-Out Victory, 12-1

Winamac Warriors Varsity cruised to an easy victory over LaVille 12-1 on Tuesday Winamac Warriors Varsity got things started in the first inning when Corrin Combs grounded out, scoring one run. LaVille evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when an error scored one run for LaVille. Winamac Warriors Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Makayla Werner hit a solo homer and Combs singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Winamac Warriors Varsity notched four runs in the sixth inning. Combs and Sarah Fort all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. McKenzie Hinz was the winning pitcher for Winamac Warriors Varsity. The bulldog went six innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out nine and walking one. Faith Mejer took the loss for LaVille. Mejer surrendered 12 runs on nine hits over five and a third innings, striking out six. Winamac Warriors Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Werner went yard in the third inning. Winamac Warriors Varsity collected nine hits. Emma Goodman and Werner each managed multiple hits for Winamac Warriors Varsity. Goodman led Winamac Warriors Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
