Emma Goodman Drives In Six As Winamac Warriors Varsity Wins Over Lewis Cass

Emma Goodman was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Friday, driving in six on three hits to lead Winamac Warriors Varsity past Lewis Cass 13-1 on Friday. Goodman drove in runs on a groundout in the second, a single in the fourth, and a home run in the fifth. Lewis Cass opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run for Lewis Cass. Winamac Warriors Varsity scored five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Makayla Werner and a home run by Goodman. McKenzie Hinz was credited with the victory for Winamac Warriors Varsity. The ace surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Elly Logan took the loss for Lewis Cass. The hurler allowed 12 hits and eight runs over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Winamac Warriors Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Goodman put one out in the fifth inning. Winamac Warriors Varsity scattered 16 hits in the game. Isabelle Decker, Maggie Smith, Goodman, and Werner each managed multiple hits for Winamac Warriors Varsity. Goodman, Smith, and Decker each managed three hits to lead Winamac Warriors Varsity.
