Just one day after testing their skills at the KV Invitational, the Winamac Lady Warriors returned to the course with renewed focus and determination—this time on familiar turf. Competing in the inaugural Winamac Invitational at Moss Creek Golf Club, the team demonstrated noticeable improvement and gained valuable experience in front of their home crowd. Leading the way once again was Hunter Hines, who continued her strong start to the season by posting the team’s top score. Sophomore Brianna Patton followed closely behind, building on her varsity debut with another solid performance. Seniors Cady Jones, Marissa Iverson, and Kandace Kroft rounded out the scoring lineup, each showing growth and confidence on their home course. Joining the varsity squad were first-year junior Scarlett Browning and freshman Tessa Berry. For both players, the Invitational offered a meaningful opportunity to gain competitive experience and contribute to the team’s momentum. The Lady Warriors’ collective improvement was evident across the board, as the team settled into its rhythm and embraced the challenge of tournament play. With a mix of returning talent and new faces, Winamac is shaping up to be a team to watch as the season progresses. Next up, the Lady Warriors will host Delphi at Moss Creek on Tuesday, August 8th. With home-course advantage and growing confidence, they’ll look to continue their upward trajectory. 1. Pioneer- 425 2. North Judson- 436 3. Triton- 465 4. Winamac A- 474 5. Caston- 533 6.
