Winamac Warriors Softball Goes Down On Final Play Against Tippecanoe Valley

Winamac Warriors Varsity fell to Tippecanoe Valley 7-6 on Thursday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at six with Tippecanoe Valley batting in the bottom of the seventh when B Benn reached on a dropped third strike. Winamac Warriors Varsity fell behind by four runs in the fourth inning, but then tried to fight back. Winamac Warriors Varsity scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Emma Goodman, a double by McKenzie Hinz, a error, and a groundout by Piper Link. Winamac Warriors Varsity notched five runs in the fifth inning. Winamac Warriors Varsity put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Goodman and Hinz, a groundout by Link, and an error on a ball put in play by Samantha Perry. Winamac Warriors Varsity racked up nine hits in the game. Hinz, Lauren Bruce, Makayla Werner, and Goodman all had multiple hits for Winamac Warriors Varsity.
