Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

Winamac opened it’s baseball season at Carroll tonight. Winamac was on the short end of a 4-2 loss. Winamac wasn’t able to register a hit while holding Carroll to just 2 hits. Conner Burton and Peyton Attinger scored the 2 runs for the Warriors. Wyatt Wheeler, Brayden Mathias and Max Gearhart combined for the 2 hitter for Winamac. Brayden Mathias struck out 5 in 2 innings of work allowing 1 run. Wyatt Wheeler got the start and struck out 2 allowing 2 unearned runs and Max Gearhart pitched the final 2 innings allowing 1 run. The Warriors started out a little nervous but settled in and started playing pretty well. Winamac travels to Twin Lakes on Thursday.
