Emma Goodman will continue her outstanding academic and athletic career 4 more years while playing softball and basketball for Ancilla College. What made you choose Ancilla College? “The atmosphere and how it is a small college. A lot of the classes are smaller to help the athletes. The campus itself is pretty small, and the college is close to home and I liked that” What is your favorite memory of softball and basketball while participating as a student-athlete at Winamac? “My favorite basketball memory is when we won our first game against West Central and our celebration in the locker room. My favorite softball memory, I have so many its hard to choose from...my favorite would be all the ice cream trips after the games” Was playing a collegiate sport something that you always wanted to do? “Yes, I've dreamed about playing college sports since I was little and the fact I get to play two is a big deal to me” Who were people along the way that helped you achieve this goal? “I would say Coach Belcher is some one who has pushed me, and is someone who has made me a better player and person off the field, Coach Sommers and Coach Brandt have also pushed me and Coach Stesiak made fall in love with basketball all over again” What would you say to other student-athletes who are on the fence about wanting to play softball or basketball? “Do it, you don't want to regret it and it's worth giving it a try”
