Winamac Athletics

The Winamac Warriors boys basketball team got off to a hot start in Tuesday's IHSAA sectional opening round contest and never looked back. Brendan Hines connected on a 3 pointer to end the first quarter that extended the lead to 6 points and it never got any closer as the Warriors cruised to a 66-48 win over North Miami. John Malchow led the way with 23 points and Jayse Bentle chipped in 14. The Warriors are back in action on Friday evening at Rochester at 6:00pm in the sectional semi finals against a very talented Wabash squad.
