📰 Winamac Girls Shine at Home Meet Against Logansport April 22, 2025 – Winamac, IN The Winamac Community High School girls' track and field team turned in a strong performance on their home turf during Tuesday's dual meet against Logansport. Despite falling 76–56 in the final team standings, the Lady Warriors racked up several first-place finishes and showcased a promising mix of veteran leadership and rising talent. ⭐ Top Scorer: Sadie Popejoy Sadie Popejoy led the way for Winamac with a perfect sweep in her three events. She dominated the sprints, taking first in the 100-meter dash (13.62) and the 200-meter dash (28.45), and also showed her versatility by winning the discus with a throw of 97'6", tallying a meet-high 15 points. 🥇 First Place Finishers Winamac opened the meet strong with a win in the 4x800m relay, featuring a lineup of Kandace Kroft, Kadence Hoover, Claire Goodman, and freshman Maci Earp. The same blend of experience and youth carried through to the 4x400m relay, where Hoover and Earp were joined by Madelyn Goodman and freshman Ava Malchow to secure another victory. Kadence Hoover also captured first in the 3200m run (12:40.59), while Emily Weaver threw 27'4" to win the shot put. In the pole vault, Allyson Campbell tied for first by clearing 6'6". 🥈 Second Place Highlights Claire Goodman added a second-place finish in the 1600m (6:05.38), while Kandace Kroft placed second in both the 400m and the high jump. Mylie Foster claimed second in the long jump, and Sierra Haschel earned runner-up honors in the discus. 🥉 Third Place Contributors Goodman continued her productive meet with third-place finishes in the 800m and 3200m. Foster also picked up a third in the 300m hurdles, capping a multi-event scoring day.
