Winamac Athletics

The Lady Warriors took on the Lady Warriors of North Miami in the Sectional Semi-Finals at Lewis Cass on Friday. The underdog Winamac squad gave North Miami all they could handle in the first half and led 21-18 at halftime. Towards the end of the 3rd quarter and the most of the 4th quarter, the turnover problem reared its ugly head and North Miami surged ahead and won the game 49-31. Chloe Rausch hit 3 3s and led in scoring with 9. Piper Link added 8. Hailey Attinger added 4 points and 13 rebounds. The Lady Warriors end their season with a record of 4-20. Thank you to senior players Hailey Attinger, Emma Goodman, and Chloe Rausch as well as manager Lauren Fredel for their leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude. Any future success of Lady Warrior Basketball will be in large part to their efforts during this season. We return 12 players who saw varsity action this year, and 6 letter winners. Brighter days are ahead!
