Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

Winamac High School Sophomores Austin Attinger and Talen Garner represented the Warriors at the Logansport Wrestling Regional on Saturday, February 4. Austin Attinger won his first match against Harrision's John Paul Platt by a 11-7 decision, qualifying him for his second straight East Chicago Semi-state trip. Attinger fell to eventual champion Hayden Fritz next round by pin, and lost to Ethan Seubring of Faith Christian in the consolation round.   Talan Garner fell to Valin Heddedn of West Lafayette by a second period fall, finishing a breakout season at 26-6, runner up at the Winamac Sectional and HNAC Champion. Winamac finished 14th out of 22 teams.
