Winamac Athletics

For the first time in the school's history, Winamac has hosted the Wrestling Sectional. Due to some issues with their gym it was moved from Twin Lakes to Winamac. The Warriors finished seventh out of 12 at the Winamac Sectional as a team. Talen Garner pinned his way to the finals, falling to North White's Quasebarth. Austin Attinger earned a solid 3rd place finish beating Anderson of Frontier. Garner and Attinger move on to the Logansport Regional next week. 5th (Alternate)Charles Cottrell, Noah Garner, Tyler Tankersley, DJ Depke, and Ryan Bedwell 6th. The silver lining is that in this rebuilding year, the team, composed of mostly underclassmen and only 2 seniors, the Warriors defended their HNAC championship, wrestled at the IHSWCA Team State, and finished the season 16-7. Bright things are ahead for this great group of young men!
