Warrior Grapplers Win HNAC and JV Competes at New Prairie

The Winamac Warriors held off a strong Laville team to claim their 5th conference title in 5 years! Led by championships by Eli Wildermuth at 113, Austin Attinger at 132, Tyler Tankersley at 145, Dj Depke at 152, and Talen Garner at 170, Winamac went 5 for 5 in the finals! Winamac dug deep and placed their entire team. DJ Depke and Talen Garner won their first championship, and Eli Wildermuth and Austin Attinger added their second. Senior Tyler Tankersley won his third conference. Senior Garron Knoth was awarded a HNAC "At-Large" Championship, due to his efforts on the team, work ethic, and determination! Other Placers for the Warriors; 3rd Charles Cottrell, 4th Hayden Taylor, Noah Garner, Ayden Jimenez, Eli Matthews 5th Garron Knoth 6th Trace O'Day Logan Glenn Alonzo Huizar Team Scores Winamac 226.5 Laville 225 Pioneer 191 Knox 180.5 North Judson 158.5 Triton 152 Culver 66.5 Caston 58 New Prairie JV Friday, January 20, 2023 Three Winamac Warrior wrestlers made the trek up to New Prairie to participate in their annual JV Tournament. This tournament features some of the larger 5 and 6 A schools in the northern part of Indiana. The Warriors were well represented by Kalaeb Pace, Lane Halterman and Andrew Cardenas. Halterman earned 3rd place, Pace and Cardenas were 4th. They really gained lots of great experience!
