Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

The Winamac Warriors traveled to North Miami for a two-day dual event. The Warriors battled to a 5-4 record against some great competition, even being shorthanded. Lots of young wrestlers stepped up and gained so much experience! Top individual performances on the event were Charles Cottrell 7-2, Rian Shell 7-2, Asher Jones 6-3, Cooper Kopka 4-1, Austin Attinger 7-2, Tearson Wolford 7-2, and Talen Garner 8-1. Garner earned his 100th win in his career with a pin over his Carroll Fort Wayne opponent. Winamac earned wins over Wabash 42-32, Culver 60-15, Carroll Fort Wayne (JV) 52-27, Tippecanoe Valley 49-28, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 64-16. Losses to North Miami 18-61, Western 35-45, Peru 39-42, and Southport 21-54. The Warriors's dual record moves to 26-6 on the year. Winamac is back in action against Pioneer on the stage January 9.
