Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

The girls basketball team started out conference play with games at Caston on Saturday, November 16th and at Culver on Tuesday, November 19th. The Lady Warriors grinded out 2 big road wins. Winamac defeated Caston 44-24. Kandace Kroft had a dominant all-around performance with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 deflections/steals. Sadie Popejoy also had a strong game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 7 deflections/steals. Winamac also defeated Culver 33-18. Marissa Iverson led the team with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Sadie Popejoy added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Kandace Kroft continued her strong start to the season with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 10 deflections/steals. The Lady Warriors improved its record to 4-1 and have upcoming games at North White on Thursday and home with Manchester Saturday.
