Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

The Winamac Warriors opened their season with a convincing win over the Vikings at Monon 48-30. The Warriors got wins from Willis Dennis, Trace O'Day, Andew Cardenas, Layne Halterman, DJ Depke, Talen Garner, Aiden Day, and Eli Matthews. Also getting their first taste of varsity action were Garron Knoth and Ayydan Jimenez. The Warriors are at home on Tuesday, November 29 for a clash with the Twin Lakes Indians. The "Warrior of the Meet" was Aiden Day. Aiden returned to wrestling for the first time in 5 years, but it didn't show, as he wrestled up a weight class and dominated his opponent in every category, earning a second period pin.
