Winamac dropped another conference match to a tough North Miami squad Monday night on the road (15-25, 9-25, 9-15). The Lady Warriors were much improved from behind the service line, a season long struggle for them. With only 5 service errors in the whole match, Winamac was able to go on a few good serving runs and string points together to make some competitive rallies in set one. Defensively Winamac took on North Miami's six-foot outside hitters with ferocity and held team leader Grace Sailors under her set average in kills. Marissa Iverson had a total of three blocks, with Brooke Rausch contributing another big block in the front row. Maggie Keller ended the night with team high 8 digs while Grace Roth added 6 more. Offensively, Winamac struggled to find the floor. Brooke Rausch led the Warriors with 6 kills, while Mylie Foster and Marissa Iverson each contributed 3 kills a piece. Winamac's JV team took North Miami to 3 sets, two of which went to extra points (25-23, 24-26, 14-16) but ultimately fell in North Miami's favor. The Lady Warriors take on Oregon-Davis at home Thursday for Grandparents Night.
