The Lady Warriors traveled to Caston last night for their second conference match of the season. Winamac ended the night falling in 4 sets to the Comets (21-25, 19-25, 25-18, 21-25). Set three was the highlight for the Lady Warriors with a string of service runs by Brooke Rausch and Grace Roth, each contributing 2 aces in the four set match. Outside hitters Miley Foster and Ava Malchow were the go to hitters for the Warriors with 4 and 5 kills, respectively. Unfortunately, Winamac unable to convert on several service errors by the Comets, along with an exceptional number of serve-receive errors led to the loss of several leads throughout sets 3 and 4. "We had no fire, no fight, no sense of volleyball family tonight and it was frustrating. We can play up extremely well, but we can also play down extremely well and tonight was proof of that. Best thing we can do is learn from it and use it as motivation for Monday against North Miami," quoted Coach Kasten. Marissa Iverson led with 6 kills, Linzy Walters had 10 digs and 16 assists, and Brooke Rausch, Grace Roth and Maggie Keller each had 8 digs.
