The Lady Warriors took on Culver Community Tuesday night in their first conference match of the season. After leading much of the first set and stringing points together, a tough serve-receive rotation caught up with the Warriors, leaving them down 19-25. True to fashion this season, Winamac fought back in the next two sets with some smart plays at the net and quick defense, but weren't quite able to put the ball in play when necessary. Winamac fell in the last two sets 15-25 and 17-25, respectively. Grace Roth and Maggie Keller led the defense with 10 digs each, while Ally Campbell, Brooke Rausch and Linzy Walters each added on 5 digs a piece. Middle was king last night as Brooke Rausch led the Warriors with 9 kills and Marissa Iverson found her footing with another 7 kills. Linzy Walters dished out 21 assists on the night. The Warriors are back in action next Tuesday at county rival, West Central.
