The Lady Warriors traveled to North White on Thursday for their only match of the week. After a rocky start in set 1 and losing 9-25, the Warriors battled back to end the night with a 4 set loss (18-25, 25-23, 20-25). Winamac hosted the Vikings at their home tournament on August 17th. The Warriors had a quick two set loss to them to finish their day. "After knowing what kind of hitters we were up against going in, I was proud of how hard the girls battled back and fought for each point in those last three sets," says Coach Kasten. Defense was the name of the game again for the Warriors with Ally Campbell leading the way with 16 digs and Maggie Keller throwing in 15 of her own. Linzy Walters tacked on 11 digs and 22 assists on the night. Brooke Rausch picked up her blocking game with 2 blocks, as well as 6 kills. Marissa Iverson was able to find the floor with her 8 kills at the net. Keller and Roth led the way with service receptions, at 28 and 16 respectively. Campbell was the team's lead scorer on the night from the service line with a whopping 8 aces. The Lady Warriors get a much deserved weekend off before taking on the Culver Cavaliers on Tuesday at Winamac.
