Winamac Athletics- WARRIOR MENTALITY

The Winamac Varsity Football team opened the 2024 season with a hard-fought home victory over West Central by a score of 24-16. The Warriors showed a lot of resilience in overcoming penalties and turnovers to get the win. Offensively, Addison Allen had 17 rushes for 67 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 two-point conversion runs. Xavier Adriano had a rushing touchdown and 2 point conversion run. Ethan Burgess added a touchdown reception. Defensively, the Warriors were led by Talen Garner, Tearson Wolford, Allen, and Burgess. Louis Rugg and Hayden Taylor both had interceptions on the night. Winamac will travel to Frontier next Friday to take on the Falcons at 7:00 PM.
