Winamac volleyball hosted the Rensselaer Lady Bombers on Thursday night. After a late start to the game, Winamac JV had a hard fought battle, but ended dropping two sets 9-25 and 22-25. The Winamac Varsity also put up a fight in their three set loss to the Bombers (20-25, 20-25, 10-25). While the match didn't turn in favor of the Warriors, there were still some places the Warriors came out shining. "Defensively, we were still pretty much on point," says coach, Heather Kasten. "That's going to be our backbone this year." Maggie Keller led with two aces and 8 digs, while Grace Roth also added 8 and Ally Campbell dug up 7. Linzy Walters and Mylie Foster led with 4 kills a piece with Walters also dishing out 10 assists. Winamac travels to the 41st annual Tomahawk Tournament at North Miami this Saturday to take on Wabash and Tippecanoe Valley.
