The Lady Warriors ended their home season last night against North Judson. Set one was a competitive rally with lots of ties and lead changes, but left the Warriors short 22-25. After a tough fought set, the Warriors struggled to string points together in the second set. Serve-receive and five missed serves left the Warriors coming up short again, 10-25. The Lady Warriors were not going to lay down for a 3 set loss, however. Winamac came out strong again in the third set and rallied hard until a handful of miscommunications and deep serves left them at another loss of 19-25. While it may not have been the outcome the Warriors wanted for their seniors (Hailey Attinger, Lauren Fredel, McKenzie Hinz and managers Sam Perry and Madi Conley), they still had some great highlights along the way. "I was very impressed with our net play tonight, especially our blocking. That is something we've been working on a lot lately to help out our defense and something clicked tonight." Piper Link, Lauren Fredel and Hailey Attinger all donated 2 blocks a piece, while McKenzie Hinz led the Warriors with 4 blocks - her season high in a game. Brooke Rausch and Kaelyn O'Connor each added a block, as well. Fredel also contributed 6 kills and 12 assists, while Hinz added another 7 kills and 6 digs. Raegan Kasten and Piper Link also tossed in 3 aces a piece. The Warriors will travel to Logansport on Thursday for their final regular season game before traveling to Rochester Saturday October 15th in the second round of sectional play.
