The Lady Warrior softball team concluded the 2024 season with their awards night Wednesday evening. Following a team dinner players were each recognized and team awards were given. Several players then received additional recognition at the conference and state levels. Varsity Team Awards: Highest Batting Average – Maggie Smith, RBI Leader– Makayla Werner, Most Improved Player– Linzy Walters, Outstanding Defense Award– Maggie Smith Home Run Balls for Multiple Home Runs: Corrin Combs and Makayla Werner Big Bat for Extra Base Hits: Corrin Combs HNAC Awards: All-Conference– Issy Decker, Maggie Smith, and Corrin Combs. Honorable Mention All-Conference– Brooke Rausch and Linzy Walters HNAC Academics Award: Mara Holehan, Olivia Link, Piper Link, Maggie Smith, Corrin Combs, and Linzy Walters. 2nd Team All-State (by the Softball Coaches Assoc. of Indiana): Maggie Smith SCAI Academic All-State: Olivia Link and Maggie Smith Coach Belcher’s Comments: Tonight wraps up the 2024 season, and it was a good one. The team improved throughout the season, they worked well together, and they enjoyed the game and their teammates. Thank you to our parents, school, and fans for all of the support along the way!
