Winamac Falls to Redskins

The Warriors hosted the Knox Redskins last night in their second conference match of the season. While not the outcome Winamac hoped for (17-25, 15-25, 14-25) there were a lot of great things starting to click for the Lady Warriors. Sets one and two was a familiar line up for the Warriors with Brooke Rausch and Kaelyn O'Connor on the outside and Piper Link balancing out McKenzie Hinz in the middle. Set three looked a little different as Link and Rausch switched to try and compete with the Redskin's big outside hitters. Big plays by Hinz, like 13 kills, 12 digs and a big outside block, helped boost the Warriors confidence all the way through the end of the third set. Lauren Fredel and Ally Campbell both came up with 8 digs on the night, as well as Fredel adding 15 assists. The Warriors will travel to Kankakee Valley this weekend for the KV Invite on Saturday where they will kick off the day at 10 AM against Hebron and KV.
