Winamac went 5-0 at the John Glenn Super Duals on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Winamac defeated Tippy Valley 48-30, Logansport 39-36, Bremen 54-27, John Glenn 43-42, and Fort Wayne Luers 60-24 to claim their first trophy of the year. Weight champions on the day were Noah Garner, Austin Attinger, DJ Depke, and Eli Matthews. "Warrior of the Meet was Cooper Kopka! Cooper really stepped up his game and wrestled agressively, going 4-1 on the day. He has made some great improvements! Wrestling well for the Warriors today were: Charles Cottrell 3-2 Willis Dennis 3-2 Ryan Bedwell 3-2 Tearson Wolford 3-2 Talan Garner 4-1 Getting great experience on the day were Noah Secavir, Hunter Wade and Cody Wheeler. Winamac runs its team record to 11-1 on the year. The Winamac Warrior JV Wrestling competed at the Plymouth Invite today with over 300 other wrestlers from around the area. Rian Shell and Hayden Taylor earned 2nd place finishes, Chase Allen was third, Ivan Cardenas and Josh Crawford were 6th and Kaleb Howard-See finished 8th. Well done Warriors!
