Lady Warrior Basketball Beats County Rival West Central 52-32

The girls basketball varsity team returned home and played a strong second half and defeated West Central Tuesday night. After a strong first quarter in which they led 14-7, the Lady Warriors got outplayed in the 2nd quarter and lead 20-19 at halftime. They then outscored the Lady Trojans 32-13 in the second half, specifically 20-6 in the fourth quarter. Maggie Smith led the scoring attack with 20 points, Marissa Iverson added 12, and Kandace Kroft had 8. The varsity improves to 6-3. The JV game was won by West Central 19-12. Corinne Ulerick scored 5 points and Brody Goodman had 4. The JV is now 4-3. Both teams hit the road on Thursday night to take on the Rensselaer Lady Bombers. The JV 2 quarter game tips off at 6:30pm.
