The postseason cross country trail delivered high-stakes racing today at the Sectional meet. Both the boys and girls squads put forth tremendous effort, battling tough championship conditions and leaving everything on the course. Boys Team Recap The boys squad raced with great intensity against a deep and competitive sectional field, stringing together a series of strong performances: Brody Bonnell led the charge for the team with a sharp time of 18:14 (Place: 21). Ethan Showley put together a strong race, clocking a new personal best of 20:37 (Place: 51). Braylen Becker (20:40, Place: 52) and Elisha Burns (20:40, Place: 53) both crossed with great composure. Brooklyn Jachim delivered a solid race with a time of 27:52 (Place: 50). Kallie Kasten (28:19, Place: 52) and Katelyn Burgess (28:20, Place: 53) packed up well, battling through the challenging course conditions. Jaelyn Huddleston dug deep to clock a time of 34:14 (Place: 62) and cap off her sectional race with a personal best. Regional Advancement: Thanks to a gritty, focused race plan, Jillian Burns punched her ticket to the Regional round by finishing among the top 15 overall runners not on an advancing team.
