Winamac Girls Varsity battled a veteran and talented Caston squad on Saturday night but ultimately fell short 47-33. A great team combined with tired legs from Friday's physical game with Argos was too much to overcome. Piper Link continued her strong play from the entire week with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Marissa Iverson also continued a strong week of play with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Sadie Popejoy added 6 points. The Lady Warriors now stand at 2-2 heading into a 3 game week with Culver at home on Tuesday, North White at home on Thrusday, and at Manchester on Saturday. The JV was victorious over Caston 38-34. Corinne Ulerick led with 18 points and Brody Goodman scored 9. The JV record is 2-1.
