Winamac Athletics

Winamac Girls Basketball traveled to Argos Friday night and came away with exciting wins by both the JV & Varsity. The varsity game was a close, back & forth contest with both teams leading at several points but no lead more than 7. The Lady Warriors played great team basketball. Piper Link led the way with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Fellow post player Marissa Iverson added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Guards Kandace Kroft and Sadie Popejoy added 12 and 7 points. The Lady Warriors are now 2-1. In the JV contest, the Lady Warriors also prevailed 20-18. Corinne Ulerick and Brody Goodman each scored 7 points. The JV is now 1-1. Next up for the Lady Warriors is a home game tonight with the Caston Lady Comets. JV tips off at 6pm.
