Winamac Athletics- Home of the Warriors

The Winamac Varsity soccer team hosted Rochester for Senior Night and defeated them 3-0. The Warriors got on the board early in the game off a corner kick when one of Rochester's players deflected the ball into their own goal. The score would remain that way until the second half even though the Warriors had several other chances to score but were not able to capitalize. In the second half, Jaybin Hines and Kannon Hoover were able to find the back of the net. Once again, the Warriors had several other scoring opportunities, but were not able to capitalize. The Warrior defense was strong keeping the ball on Rochester's side of the field for the majority of the game. Winamac's next game is this Saturday as they host Lakeland Christian at 1 PM. This is their final home game of the season. Congratulations to the 8 seniors which include Rylan Craig, Sean Stark, Jaybin Hines, Asher Jones, Logan Schambers, LLuvia De La Cruz Garcia, Eli Overmyer, and Isaac Kruzick.
