Winamac Athletics

The Winamac Boys XC team had a great race at Sectional today. They advanced to the Regional race at a team with. 4th place overall finish out of the 14 teams racing. All of the runners really worked hard and performed really well. Leading the team with top 10 finishes were Logan Fredel (5th), Nate Pierzchalski (7th), Dylan Guilford (8th). Also racing for the boys were Joel Showley (57th), and Corbin Holehan (71st) The Warrior Girls XC team had an amazing day with a Sectional Win at Rensselaer!! Going into the day we knew it was going to be a tough meet to win against Kankakee Valley. The girls stepped up and ran very well to take the top team spot with a score of 47 to K.V.’s 70 points. Maggie Smith led the girls with a 3rd place overall finish. Close behind her were the next 4 scoring racers on the team Kadence Hoover (6th), Kelsey Wegner (9th), Kandace Kroft (15th), Avery Wegner (17th).
