Winamac Athletics- Home of the Warriors

The Winamac Varsity Soccer team played their first home game of the season against North Miami coming out on top by a score of 5-0. The Warriors applied pressure early and often keeping the ball on North Miami's side of field for most of the game. They were able to score 3 goals in the first half before adding 2 more early in the second half making it a running clock for the rest of the game. Winamac was able to move the ball around the field finding the open player and keeping North Miami on their heels. The Warrior defense was very strong as well staying balanced with physical play to win several touches to get possession back. Hutch Martin had 7 saves in goal for the Warriors. Jaybin Hines has 2 goals along with Kannon Hoover. Sean Stark also scored a goal. Sean Stark, Kaden Hines, and Jaybin Hines all had an assist. Jaybin Hines's assist gives him a total of 33 assists in his career tying him with Kevin Good for the career assist record. Congrats on this accomplishment Jaybin. The Warriors next game is Tueday September 8th at home against Peru. Come out and cheer this team on as they look to stay undefeated at home.
