Panthers Overpower Warriors in 3

By Heather Kasten | Sep 22, 2023 7:34 AM

The Panthers traveled to Warrior Nation last night with the HNAC traveling trophy for Winamac's sixth conference match up of the season. Set one started out strong in the Warrior's favor, going point for point with Pioneer and stringing together a few good points to amp up the energy in the gym. Winamac's youth struggled against the quick paced offense of Pioneer, leaving the net an open field for swings at the Warrior defense. After a tough serve-receive rotation for Winamac, the Warriors fell with sets one and two ending 13-25 a piece, and set three at 10-25. While the scoreboard may not have had as many points as the Warriors would have liked, they did everything well on their side of the floor. "We had minimal unforced errors tonight, which is how we were able to battle like we did," claims Coach Kasten. The Warriors were 34 for 36 behind the service line; a huge step up from Monday night's 32 for 41. Winamac is back in action Tuesday at Argos.
