The Winamac Junior High golf team made program history Thursday evening, competing in its first-ever meet at Pond View Golf Course and marking the occasion with a decisive win over Caston, 198–255. Isiah Walmsley led the way for the Warriors, earning medalist honors after carding an impressive 44 in his debut. He was backed by strong performances across the lineup, including Bryan Linback with a 46, Paxton Burke at 53, Sophia Shell with a 55, and Kaden Hines at 56. The victory capped a memorable opening night for the young program, which showed poise and promise in its inaugural competition. Winamac will look to build on its early momentum Monday when the team travels to Carroll County Golf Course for a matchup with Delphi.
