Marissa Perry is signing with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to continue her academic and athletic career to be on their equestrian team and study equine studies and business administration. What made you choose Saint Mary-of-the-Woods? "I chose them because of their program and it's the only one in the state that I could find that I actually liked" What is your favorite memory of playing sports while participating as a student-athlete at Winamac? "Was being there at games and high fiving people and just encouraging people there" Was playing a collegiate sport something that you always wanted to do? "Not always. I liked the idea of going into one and kind of expanding my knowledge in that, in that kind of field" Who were people along the way that helped you achieve this goal? "My boss Abby, she got me into more of a competitive showing environment with the IEA Team." How did the recruiting process begin for you to be on their equestrian team? "When I looked at the college and campus I saw they had an equestrian team and that was something I always wanted to try. So when I went on a visit I marked down that was something I wanted to do. Got contact with the coaches and here we are today."
