Varsity vs West Central (4 - 1) Win The Winamac boys golf team continued its strong early-season form Friday night, earning a 4–1 match play win at home against an improving West Central squad. Winamac set the tone early, with Logan Fredel dominating his matchup. Fredel closed out his point with three holes still remaining, finishing 4 up with 3 to play. The Warriors kept the momentum rolling as Rylan Crain and Justin Pothoff each held steady under pressure, both securing wins 2 up with 1 to play. One of the night’s most pivotal moments came from Jayden Beckner, who delivered a clutch up‑and‑down on the final hole to lock in his point and officially secure the team victory. West Central earned its lone point in dramatic fashion. Tyler Rainford battled to the end but fell 1 down on the final hole, giving the visitors their only score of the match. With the win, Winamac looks ahead to a challenging road test. The team will travel to Rochester on Monday night for a triangular matchup against Rochester and Culver.
