Hayden Taylor is signing with Purdue Northwest to continue his academic and athletic career to run track and study criminal justice. What made you choose Purdue Northwest? "I liked the environment, the way it was set up, I liked the people there and loved the coaches" What is your favorite memory of playing sports while participating as a student-athlete at Winamac? " I would say not giving up and pushing through the worst to get where I am today" Was playing a collegiate sport something that you always wanted to do? "Yes, it was something I was wanting to do, mainly for football in the beginning but then it shifted to track as things kept moving forward" Who were people along the way that helped you achieve this goal? "My older cousins, teammates and coaches." What would you say to Winamac students who are on the fence about wanting to join track and field in high school? "I would say track and field is something that can play a big part in all sports you participate in; comes down to conditioning, discipline and training. You'll never know if you're good enough until you try it and put work into it."
